Crafted from breathable, feather-light 60x60 pure cotton, this piece features a breathtaking 7 plus meters ofĀ ghera (flare) that flows with your life-force (prana). Instead, it features a dual-modularity system: a continuous naara threaded through the waist belt, accompanied by an adaptive dori tie.

This vastra is not merely dyed; it is sculpted by human hands. The ancient art of Bandhani derives from the Sanskrit word Bandha (to tie). It is a sacred, meditative resist-dyeing technique where artisans pluck thousands of microscopic points of cloth with their fingernails, binding each tightly with continuous thread before the fabric is bathed in dye.

When the ties are opened, the iconic bindu (dots) are revealedā€”representing the infinite focal points of cosmic energy. The resulting textured crinkle is pure woven prana, carrying the literal touch and rhythmic energy of the artisan into the Annamaya Kosha (your physical layer).

Care Instructions

Rituals of Care (Wash & Maintenance)

To honor the longevity of this handcrafted vastra, please observe the following rituals:

Hand Wash Only: Submerge gently in cold water with mild, natural detergents.

Wash Separately: Authentic dyes carry raw energy and may bleed naturally during the first few rituals.

Dry in Shade: Protect the vibrancy of the dye by air-drying away from direct, harsh sunlight.

Zero to Mild Ironing: Never press this garment flat. To preserve the signature three-dimensional crinkles that prove its authentic hand-tied origins, avoid ironing altogether. If absolutely necessary, use only a very mild, cool iron lightly on the reverse side.

Storage: Gently twist and roll the garment to store it, which naturally maintains the beautiful, living texture of the Bandhani.
